Butter & Flowers: the perfect combination

Say goodbye to boring butter! With this simple recipe you can put a colorful butter on the table in no time.

Ingredients

  • 150 grams unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh edible flowers (cornflower, marigold, tagetes) or dried sprinkles (e.g. Floral Confetti )

Preparation

  1. Carefully pick the petals from edible flowers or use ready-made Floral Confetti.
  2. Mix the petals, unsalted butter and a pinch of sea salt in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Place the butter mixture on a piece of cling film and knead the butter into a roll shape.
  4. Place the butter roll in the fridge to firm up. After 15 minutes the butter is ready to serve!

If you want to make a herb butter instead of salted butter, add some garlic and herbs (such as chives, parsley or thyme) to the butter.

This flower butter is beautiful to serve on a drinks platter, a summer BBQ or Christmas dinner.
